This kid kills me!
I never seize to be amazed at what comes out of this kid's (Brigzen) mouth. He is far to witty for his own good. The other day Rykley, Brigz and I were coming home from a baseball game (SHOCKER) and stopped at the gas station to get a diet pepsi and a treat. As we are leaving, and devouring our snacks, I say "this brownie isn't very good". Rykley and Brigzen both say "let me try". After breaking them both off a piece Rykley agrees with me - not too impressive. From the back seat Brigzen pipes up "you guys are idiots, it's freaking delicious"! Rykley and I both started laughing. I don't know if it was the "idiots" or "freaking", but the fact he used both words in his sentence was just a confirmation that he does belong to Aaron and I! We aren't the most conservative people when it comes to the way we talk. Just cause we call our kids buttholes doesn't mean we love them any less than other parents love their kids!!!! :-)
First Day of School
Unlike a lot of Moms out there, I'm always excited for school to start! There's just something about my kids wrestling and screaming and fighting all day that I don't totally enjoy. Brigzen (5) started Kindergarten this year. The first few days he didn't love it. He thought it was way to long........man, 1st Grade is going to kill him! Taysen (9 -10 in a couple days) started 4th Grade, and hasn't minded going back. Rykley (12) started Jr. High. He wasn't nervous at all, but I'm pretty sure I almost had 5+ panic attacks just thinking about it. I was so worried he'd get lost trying to find 7 different classes every day, or that the older kids would be mean (Jr. High is not as friendly of an environment as Elementary School), and the other usual things most people worry about when their kid goes to a new school. I totally organized his locker, and included everything in it I could think of that he might ever possibly need. Apparently thinking ibuprofen was okay was a bad idea. He had to throw it away cause "drugs" aren't allowed in school!!! He's totally loved Jr. High though, and has showed me I had nothing to worry about.
Jamaica
Wow, it's been forever since I posted on here. I guess I'll do a little catching up. In April of this year Aaron and I were fortunate enough to go on a "Couple's Retreat" to Jamaica. In our almost 15 years of marriage we have never done this. We got to enjoy a whole week on the beach (watching most people drink and see some topless women). We had a blast though. Our friends across the street, Randy and JoAnna Hall, came with us. They are old so we were worried they'd slow us down, but they never did.............JUST KIDDING GUYS, you know I had to tease! As beautiful as the beach is there, it sure made me grateful for the fact I live in Utah. We are so blessed here, and never really get to see just how good we have it until we get out to places like that. Jamaicans could not understand why we didn't drink or smoke.........they called us virgins! Apparently their definition of it is slightly different than ours! So glad I got to go and spend that time with just Aaron and I. As much as I love my boys, it was freaking great to enjoy only Aaron (and Randy and JoAnna)!!! We are all hoping to get in another vacation in 2015 (we're wanting to make it a bi-yearly thing)!!!! Here we are in the airport waiting to leave...........I think I'd taken my Xanax by then - the whole flying thing had me wigged out. I mean do you know how many germs are on planes, and how confined you are on them (yip, I'm crazy)!!!

It's been a couple months since I've posted anything..........I guess that's what happens when we live at the ballpark. Things have slowed down for the past couple weeks though, although Fall Ball (baseball) starts back up tonight, so the fun never ends. Rykley's team is taking a little break from baseball for the fall though, so he's doing tackle football to keep him entertained. He loves it..........which is amazing because I attended a couple of their conditioning practices and I'm worn out just watching them. Nothing like running around in full pads and a helmet for 2 hours in 100 degree weather to make a person feel rejuvenated!!! Taysen's team is playing fall baseball, and is excited for his first game tonight. My boys are truly boys in every way. There are very limited times they don't have a ball in their hands........whether it's a baseball, football or basketball. Brigzen is going to follow right in their footsteps as well. He always wants to be right in the mix with them, even though it's not always safe! I love being a Mom of three boys. I use to have my moments of being sad over not having a little girl to doll up..........but when I really sit down and think about it (or see girls doing there emotional things.....myself included) I'm truly grateful the Lord knew boys were better for me. Sometimes I feel out-numbered, but I can still take all 3 of them boys and Aaron too.........so it's okay! School starts tomorrow so that's a good thing. Where I'm at work all day I don't overly go crazy being at home with them during the summer months, but I'm sure my Mom and Grandma (daycare) will be glad to be back down to just Brigzen during the days! That's one thing about boys, they are hyper.........always wrestling or fighting, chucking balls at each other, or making a mess! So grateful too for my mom and grandma who watch them while I work.......makes my life so much less stressful - I love knowing they are in good hands! Well, that's my update on our little busy family for now..........see ya at the ballpark (literally, if you need me that's where I'll be)!!!! :-)

Taysen's turning 8!

My little Taytor is turning 8 years old this Saturday (10/15). It seems like just yesterday the 8 lb 5 oz little turkey was born, and now he's going to be accountable for his own sins.........crazy how fast they grow up! Here's a picture of him posing for his Baptism announcement - he's soooooo stinking cute, I could eat him!

Disneyland 2011

We had so much fun at Disneyland. Aaron and I hadn't been since we were little kids (so our kid's obviously had not been there EVER)! All the boys were such good sports, and little Brigz had no fear! The little turkeys rode all the rides, and then some over and over again! I didn't think I'd overly love going (being as though I'm a total germ freak and of course Disneyland is caked with germs), but I LOOOOOOVED it! I hope we all get to go again soon, before my kids are in their 30's and taking their own children (then I'll really be old)!!! :-)

"Tammy"

I have to admit that I love my neighbor Tisha.........even with all her crazy ideas! For instance, we went Yard Selling on Saturday morning and pull up to our 2nd Yard Sale of the day and there's these mannequin bodies for sale (only the bottom half though.........oddly). The minute I put my truck in park I tell Tisha "you are not buying those mannequins". Well, sure as crap as we're leaving Tisha says to the yard sale host (or whatever you call the person putting on the yard sale) "how much for the mannequin?" As I held myself back from putting Tish over my shoulder and carrying her to the truck before she could buy it the guy says "fifty cents", of which Tisha says "including her pants?" Well what a freaking bargain, cause of course it included the pants. Who can pass up a half mannequin in pink pants for fifty cents?!! Well, I could, but Tisha can't. So here is "Tammy" (we had to name her cause calling it mannequin isn't as fun) in the back of my truck. Now she's being passed around the neighborhood in people yards where she appears to be crawling out of bushes, or working under cars, or just simply looking disturbing! I tell you, never a dull moment.........epecially if Tisha (and Tammy) are involved!!!
