This kid kills me!

I never seize to be amazed at what comes out of this kid's (Brigzen) mouth.  He is far to witty for his own good.  The other day Rykley, Brigz and I were coming home from a baseball game (SHOCKER) and stopped at the gas station to get a diet pepsi and a treat.  As we are leaving, and devouring our snacks, I say "this brownie isn't very good".  Rykley and Brigzen both say "let me  try".  After breaking them both off a piece Rykley agrees with me - not too impressive.  From the back seat Brigzen pipes up "you guys are idiots, it's freaking delicious"!  Rykley and I both started laughing.  I don't know if it was the "idiots" or "freaking", but the fact he used both words in his sentence was just a confirmation that he does belong to Aaron and I!  We aren't the most conservative people when it comes to the way we talk.  Just cause we call our kids buttholes doesn't mean we love them any less than other parents love their kids!!!! :-)

First Day of School

Unlike a lot of Moms out there, I'm always excited for school to start!  There's just something about my kids wrestling and screaming and fighting all day that I don't totally enjoy.  Brigzen (5) started Kindergarten this year.  The first few days he didn't love it.  He thought it was way to long........man, 1st Grade is going to kill him!  Taysen (9 -10 in a couple days) started 4th Grade, and hasn't minded going back.  Rykley (12) started  Jr. High.  He wasn't nervous at all, but I'm pretty sure I almost had 5+ panic attacks just thinking about it.  I was so worried he'd get lost trying to find 7 different classes every day, or that the older kids would be mean (Jr. High is not as friendly of an environment as Elementary School), and the other usual things most people worry about when their kid goes to a new school.  I totally organized his locker, and included everything in it I could think of that he might ever possibly need.  Apparently thinking ibuprofen was okay was a bad idea.  He had to throw it away cause "drugs" aren't allowed in school!!!  He's totally loved Jr. High though, and has showed me I had nothing to worry about.

Jamaica

Wow, it's been forever since I posted on here.  I guess I'll do a little catching up.  In April of this year Aaron and I were fortunate enough to go on a "Couple's Retreat" to Jamaica.  In our almost 15 years of marriage we have never done this.  We got to enjoy a whole week on the beach (watching most people drink and see some topless women).  We had a blast though.  Our friends across the street, Randy and JoAnna Hall, came with us.  They are old so we were worried they'd slow us down, but they never did.............JUST KIDDING GUYS, you know I had to tease!  As beautiful as the beach is there, it sure made me grateful for the fact I live in Utah.  We are so blessed here, and never really get to see just how good we have it until we get out to places like that.  Jamaicans could not understand why we didn't drink or smoke.........they called us virgins!  Apparently their definition of it is slightly different than ours!  So glad I got to go and spend that time with just Aaron and I.  As much as I love my boys, it was freaking great to enjoy only Aaron (and Randy and JoAnna)!!!  We are all hoping to get in another vacation in 2015 (we're wanting to make it a bi-yearly thing)!!!!  Here we are in the airport waiting to leave...........I think I'd taken my Xanax by then - the whole flying thing had me wigged out.  I mean do you know how many germs are on planes, and how confined you are on them (yip, I'm crazy)!!!
